With Levi's and City to Ocean
We spent a sunny morning cleaning up the Brussels canal for the Levi's team building event on May 8.
Big thanks to our volunteers and City to Ocean for the opportunity to learn about canal pollution and take action together. Formerly called "Canal it Up", City to Ocean is an association that aim for clean plastic-free waterways where nature has its place. The canal and the river Senne in Brussels have to face a constant stream of trash, a lack of nature and a bad water quality, which means they also have a negative impact on the waterways and seas downstream. They do a lot of actions to protect it like raising awareness, greening the canal, improving water quality, recycling and installing trash barrier or plinths along the canal with a deposit system.
