It’s finally here, the very first Jane Goodall Day

We’re not just remembering her. We’re continuing her work. Because that’s exactly what she would have wanted.
Jane always believed every single one of us has the power to make a difference. Not someday. Today. With one action, however small.

Let's come together and celebrate the incomparable Jane by doing something she believed in: taking action, big or small, to benefit people, animals, and our shared environment. This could mean picking up trash in your neighborhood, choosing a plant-based diet for the day, or opting to commute by bike or by foot. Jane often reminded us that small, individual actions add up to a big impact — and we can think of no better way to honor this icon than by taking collective action in her name.

We are really grateful and proud of what we achieved this year :

More than 12,745 trees planted all over Belgium with 6 tree plantings organised, which supports the reforestation of 275,000 trees in Burundi.
Our commitment to education and youth empowerment led us to conduct 333 workshops with 6,923 children across Belgium, we have nearly doubled since last year!
We received more than 2000€ of donations for helping the chimps and supporting our work in Chimp Eden sanctuary and Dindefelo Reserve in Africa. To our actual Chimp Guardians who have supported the centra on a recurrent basis, we express our deepest gratitude for being part of this mission year after year.

In tribute to the remarkable legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, Netflix will release the first episode of the groundbreaking docuseries, Famous Last Words. The series showcases reflective interviews with some of the world’s most influential cultural figures, who agreed to sit down and discuss their legacy, and give their final words, with the understanding that it would only be shared with the world after they passed.

Every World Chimpanzee Day on July 14, we celebrate not only our closest living relatives in the animal kingdom—but also one of the most important places in the history of science and conservation: JGI’s Gombe Stream Research Center in Tanzania. I first met cows when I was 5 years old, on a farm belonging to my father’s family. I always loved all animals, and I remember I was so excited to see the cows, and their calves out in a big field, the mothers grazing while their calves played and frolicked.
