Welcome to our new ambassador and board members!

There have been some changes at the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium.

Three new members have been elected to the board—welcome to Katia Colitti, Ingrid Van Loocke, and Niels De Waele. Two are stepping down: Juno Hautekiet and Paul Maassen. As for our ambassadors, Ignace Schops will replace Charline Van Snick.

A big thank you to Charline, Juno and Paul for their work, guidance and dedication to our cause. Charline Van Snick moved to France to focus on giving judo training to youngsters.

To discover Ingrid, Niels and Katia, we invite you to go in our special website page for our board to check their biographies!

🌟Exciting news!
We’re thrilled to welcome Ignace Schops, a Belgian conservationist and director of the NGO Regionaal Landschap Kempen en Maasland (RLKM) as a new ambassador for the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium. He met Jane Goodall for the first time at the IUCN World Parks Congress in Sydney in 2014 and was the Master of Ceremonies during the Gala with Jane in Brussels in 2022.
With his team, they established Hoge Kempen National Park in 2006, the first national park in Belgium. In 2008, he received the Goldman Environmental Prize and was honoured in 2013 by King Philippe as Commander in the Order of the Crown of Belgium.
He is also the author of the book "Saved by the Tree Frog: A Bright Future for People and Nature" (2022).
We are honoured to have Ignace on our team, inspiring others and helping us spread the work of Dr Jane Goodall.
