On September 7, we organized our first successful Forest Cleanup session with the Roots & Shoots team in three Brussels parks: Terkameren forest, Josaphat park and Osseghem park.
About 160 students from the International School of Brussels helped to clean up a huge amount of waste, mainly cans and plastic bottles. The children learned about the impact of waste on nature and animals. The children's enthusiasm to help was infectious and they went home feeling accomplished and having made a difference!
